Voice is the monthly newsletter of Mayflower Congregational Church. In general each issue covers happenings and events from the first day of the month to the last of the month, with some exceptions for teasers and notices of coming events.

publication date

In general Voices publishes on the last Friday of each month. Example: The November 2006 issue published on Fri., Oct. 27.

submission deadlines

Deadline for submissions to Voices, Mayflower's monthly newsletter, is the 15th of the month preceding the issue's publication date.

Example: The November issue deadline was Oct. 15; for the December issue deadline is Nov. 15 and so on.

Deadlines are firm.

An email reminder for submissions is sent one week prior to the deadline. If you wish to be added to the submissions reminder list send an email to cyasunday@mayflowerucc.org.

voices article, story and blurb submission guidelines

Articles, stories & blurbs: In general Voices submissions should be 200 words or less. If a submission is longer than this, it may be edited. Some circumstances require a lengthier submission. If so please note this with your submission.

Please make submissions as concise, succinct and free of errors as possible. Crisp, visual writing is helpful. If your submission is regarding an event, be sure to include:

  • who
  • what
  • when
  • where
  • why
  • all pertinent information a reader would want to know

Submissions will be edited for space, clarity, and to enhance readability and interest.
