Class Leader: Kenneth Meador Email: Klm1232003@lcisp.com Place: Youth Room - Christian Ed Wing The polar ice cap and glaciers are melting faster than scientists anticipated, species are disappearing at astounding rates, and the rain forest is being cut and burned at a rate of more than 200,000 acres a day. Energy prices are sky rocketing and extreme weather is becoming a norm. Is there anything that can be done? Using the guiding principle embodied in the Native American philosophy, "In every deliberation, we must consider the impact of our decisions on the next seven generations," from the Great Law of the Iroquois Confederacy, we kick off "Seven Generations" encompassing invigorating discussion and study materials. Through study and discussion of books and film, Seven Generations will explore the interconnected issues of:
