an annual meeting to decide
One of the truisms at Mayflower is that if there is nothing really controversial going on in the church, attendance at the annual meeting goes down! For several years running now, things have been relatively calm. The church has been growing steadily, and there has been lots of good news to report. ::: more |

The Annual Spaghetti Lunch Fundraiser, adventures, trips and helping others -- just four of the many things loved by our special friend Fletcher Vines. Because of Fletcher's loves and our love for him, the Christian Ed board is honoring his memory by establishing The Fletcher Christian Vines Memorial Grant Fund, to help kids & youth go on summer service learning trips like Heifer Ranch and Nicaragua or to summer camps like Peace Camp or Dwight Mission. ::: more |

kansas / oklahoma conference of ucc passes fair wage resolution
At the annual conference in Manhattan, Kan., on Sept. 30, the Peace and Justice Task Force submitted a resolution calling for: All churches in the Kansas-Oklahoma Conference to adopt living wages for our own employees, and for all churches to be a part of the national effort to raise the federal minimum wage as well as to be involved in raising local and state wages to a moral standard. ::: more |
