oklahoma hunger summit: a place at the table for all

On Mar. 10, 2007, Bread for the World, the Oklahoma Conference of Churches, and the Cooperating Baptist Fellowship of Oklahoma will join with other organizations, including OXFAM America and the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, to offer a one-day summit. The purpose of the event is: “To seek to deepen our understanding and be empowered to respond to hunger issues in our state, nation and around the globe.” 

Workshop speakers include Tom Boyd, University of Oklahoma; Jim French, Oxfam America; Jim McDonald, Bread for the World; Sally White, Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma, and others. The event will be held at First Baptist Church of Oklahoma City, 1201 N. Robinson, Sat., Mar. 10, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Registration is $10 and includes lunch if registration is received before Mar. 5.
