February 2008 "And the award goes to (drum roll)....... Vera Hefner!" Yes, this year's recipient of the annual mauve monstrosity went to Vera, much to her chagrin. The one white elephant gift that is dreaded the most, and makes its ugly appearance annually, makes the gift exchange exciting and something to look forward to each January, so mark your calendar to join in the fun next year! In the meantime, plan on attending the February Martha's Circle, a Valentine's Day party, hosted each year by the sweetheart team of Audrey Dragg and Merry Knowles. It will be held on Tuesday, February 5th at 6:30 p.m. in Milligan Hall. Each person attending should bring a valentine to exchange that has been hand crafted, store bought or home baked. This baked, made or bought valentine will be placed in a Valentine "Post Office Box" and distributed that evening. Merry and Audrey will provide dessert and beverages, so please bring a potluck dish to share and $1 for the collection. Please call Nancy Klos at 478-8438 with any questions. |
