christian education board fills positions

“The Christian Education Board is pleased to announce it has filled the positions of Director of Christian and Adult Education, and Director of Youth," said Kyle Sweet, Chair of the Christian Education Board.

Bob Davis is a Mayflower member who will take over as Director of Christian and Adult Education. Bob has extensive experience in program management, development, implementation and training. Bob currently works at Rose State and is involved in a program training, prepareing and supporting individuals obtaining employment after having been on government assistance. Bob has done wonders in this program and has a seventy-five percent success rate of placement in entry level positions above the poverty line. Bob’s educational and employment background is rich with Christian education and he has a passion for helping to develop, support and nourish the spirituality of all ages. Bob is excited about the opportunity to grow the Christian Education mission. Bob officially began his duties almost immediately after being selected for the position, serving his first Sunday on Jan. 21.

Toni Harris takes the helm as Director of Youth. Toni is a marketing representative with AT&T and an all-around “cool” person, which as we all know is very important when leading youth! Toni has worked with the youth at Mayflower as a volunteer and for the last three years as a youth coordinator. Toni is already knee-deep in implementing current activities and planning upcoming events with the youth. Two new youth coordinators were also hired at the end of December -- Sharon Brown and Andre Marchant. Together with Sharon and Andrea, Toni will be in charge of a dynamic team committed to continuity and growth for the youth at Mayflower. Toni began her duties Jan. 1.
