card it up at the all-ages christmas card making for 363's guests and ill members of mayflower dec. 10
Members ages 1 - 93 and beyond are invited to join us Sun., Dec. 10, in Fellowship Hall immediately following services to help make the season bright for our less fortunate friends. We'll have colorful card paper, stickers, glue, scissors, ribbon, and more to make 150 plus cards! The cards will be distributed by 363 to their guests on Dec. 16 along with a pie, a warm hat & gloves. A hand-made card tops 363's gracious giving with warm wishes for a meaningful holiday season.
These gestures and gifts mean so much to those who have so little. As one 363 guest noted when she received one of Mayflower's homemade cards last Valentine's day, it was the first time in her entire life she'd received a Valentine's card. Needless to say her sweet face beamed with joy and we were so thrilled for her, we gave her several more cards!
We'll also make cards for Mayflower members who are ill or shut-in at home. These cards will be distributed by Kay Woody of The Care Team.
So on your way out the door Sunday, Dec. 10, stop in Fellowship Hall for just a few minutes, fold a card, pen a few words of hope, and spread love in the world! |
