Plymouth Guild

Let’s have fun, make new friends, and help others. Join in our candy making. Women and men are both welcome – and needed. We meet weekly to make our famous Aunt Bill’s candy until we feel we have enough made (or run out of pecans) – usually early September. Our schedule for candy making is Mondays, beginning August 6, at 6:00 p.m.; Tuesdays, beginning August 7, at 9:00 a.m.; and Wednesdays, beginning August 8, at 9:00 a.m. The Monday evening is especially for those of you who have day jobs. Not only do you make good friends and have fun but you also have an opportunity to really get to know the Mayflower kitchen. For other information, call our Candy Project Chairman Merry Knowles at 720-5814. The Aunt Bill’s candy will be sold at our Holiday Bazaar in October with the proceeds from the bazaar going to benevolence. Last year Plymouth Guild gave $5600 to benevolence. Come and be a part of this worthwhile project.

Someone who didn’t get good cards one day said, “Oh, well, a bad day at bridge can be better than a good day at home!” This group does have a good time. Call Erma Stewart, 341-6978 if you want your name added to the calling list.

If you want to honor someone you love, consider dedicating one of the hymnals or Bibles to that person. Contact Debbie Van Dyk at 946-9912 to have the proper inscription placed in one of these books and to notify the person, or family, that you are honoring. The $25 cost for each dedication will go to the Plymouth Guild Benevolence Fund.
