stay on track with MY

Having a group of friends to hang and interact with -- in addition to school friends -- and growing spiritually together helps students maintain a balanced life. To give MY members plenty of opportunities to learn and explore together, we cover a broad range of activities. Some of the stuff we do:

  • A lock-in to kick off the school year
  • A fall break trip
  • Emphasis on visiting and exploring other faiths and cultures
  • Exploring social justice and human rights issues through film and documentaries
  • Community service activities with the 363 Group and other groups like the AIDs Walk or Free to Live
  • Fun activities like horseback riding, swimming, movies, bowling, skating, mini-golf and more
  • Practical life activities like learning how to cook or keep track of a checkbook
  • Each summer MY embarks on a service learning trip. Past trips have included: Heifer Ranch in Perryville, Arkansas, and Jinotega, Nicaragua, where MY works with Mayflower's Nicaraguan Medical Outreach.
