We’ll have a picnic lunch at the Little River Zoo, an educational zoo home to more than 400 animals. Then we’ll see animals like Moby the South American Coati, Ellie, the Egyptian Fennec Fox, and Blossom, one of the North American Black Bears. We’ll delight in the way Kitty, the South American Capuchin Monkey, leaps from tree to tree and treated to a personal guided tour by one of the zoo friendly staff members. AND, we’ll even be able to pet many of the animals.

It’s a Zoo Out There

Sun, Oct 2, noon – 4 pm

Meet in youth room / Drop off and pick up is at the church

We’re off to see at least two, maybe three of Oklahoma’s quietly amazing sites: Boiling Springs State Park, Alabaster Caverns and if we have time the Great Salt Plains. Boiling Springs is famous for its cool springs that gurgle up through the white sands of the North Canadian River and combines stunning wooded beauty and unique western history. Alabaster Caverns is the largest natural gypsum cave in the world open to the public.

We’ll hike, explore, play volleyball, spend Friday night in rustic bunkhouses, cook our meals in a community kitchen, gather round a roaring camp fire, enjoy s’mores, Luke’s excellent singing, and visit Alabaster Caverns with our own private tour guide on Saturday.
