what the world needs now ... is love and lots of it With that in mind Mayflower's approach to education is gentle, emphasizing fun, imagination, critical thinking and most of all LOVE. Using Bible stories, songs, science, myths, legends and history, Mayflower teachers weave together powerful lessons on unconditional love, respect for others and a commitment to helping those in need. Curriculum is selected by the Board of Christian Education in keeping with Mayflower theology and theories of Christian Education. Teachers are also free to improvise, edit and supplement the curriculum with other materials appropriate to the age level of the children and in keeping with Mayflower's philosophy. In general we use curriculum that: teaches the stories of the Bible applies the stories to everyday living provides activities that encourage individuality, creativity, cognitive reasoning, critical thinking is creative and at the same time easy for teachers to implement
