Adult Education
Adult education aligns with Mayflower's overall philosophy. We believe open hearts and minds are vital to exploring Christian faith and traditions, as well as the beliefs, faiths and culture of others. We are open and non-judgmental in our approach. We believe spirituality is a journey, rather than a destination, and encourage a free exchange of thoughts in all classes.
Like our children and youth programs, Mayflower's adult education program is essentially volunteer run.
When Adult Classes Meet
Adult classes take place at 9:30 am each Sunday. Early service takes place at 8:45 am. (Early service meets the Sunday after Labor Day through the Sunday before Memorial Day.) Adult classes meeting between services allow one the option of attending both worship and class and give individuals and families the flexibility of coming either early or later in the day.
Classes vary but current offerings include:
- Freethinkers
- Seekers
- The Bible Extreme
Lenten Series
Each spring during Lent, Mayflower offers a six-week book study and dicussion series taught and facilitated by Dr. Meyers. Classes are held on Thursday evenings and childcare is provided.
