How can you help?

Financial Donations

One of our greatest needs is financial support. Many of our projects involve buying supplies or hiring individuals in Nicaragua. Additional expenses are incurred when MMO ships large containers of supplies to Nicaragua.

Furthermore to keep each trip affordable to those with limited means, we underwrite the trips from our general budget. Donation are tax deductable and checks can be made out to Mayflower Medical Outreach and mailed to:

Donations of Medical Equipment

Although we welcome almost any equipment donation, certain items are in particular need. These include:

  • Endoscopic Sinus Equipment and Scopes
  • Laryngoscopy Equipment
  • Operating Microscopes
  • Suction Machines
  • Mastoid Drills
  • Audiometers
  • Tympanometers
  • Facial Nerve Monitors
  • Auditory Brainstem Response Equipment (screeners or diagnostic)

In general MMO coordinates one or two trips each year. The largest trip is in late July-early August. Each trip is one week in length and the cost is under $1000 which includes airfare, transportation in Nicaragua, room and board.

MMO welcomes all interested people with or without medical background. No religious affiliation is required and all are welcome. Individual trips for medical personnel can also be arranged on an ad hoc basis.
