And his newest book, Saving Jesus From The Church How To Stop Worshiping Christ and Start Following Jesus.
Curious what Robin "believes?" Listen to this interview from The God Show recorded October 18, 2009 to get an idea.
A frequent guest preacher and workshop leader around the country, Meyers has authored numerous articles on preaching and human communication. He has appeared on Dateline NBC, numerous public television programs, as a commentator on National Public Radio, and has preached at Riverside Church in New York City, where he was a candidate for the pulpit. In 2000, he was the Earl Preacher for the Earl Lectures at Berkeley, Calif.
For the last 12 years, Meyers’ sermons have been broadcast in Oklahoma on Sundays at 9:30 am, KOKC AM 1520. The radio program has become the most listened to religious broadcast in Oklahoma.
Born in Oklahoma City and raised in Wichita, Kan., Meyers received a Master of Divinity from Phillips University Graduate Seminary, Enid, Okla.; a Doctor of Ministry from Drew University, Madison, NJ; and a Doctorate in Rhetoric from the University of Oklahoma, Norman, Okla. He has served churches in Maryland, Oklahoma, New Jersey and Michigan.
Meyers is married to Oklahoma City artist, Shawn Meyers, M.F.A., University of Oklahoma, an adjunct professor of sculpture at the University of Central Oklahoma. They are the parents of three children, Blue, Chelsea and Cass.
Rev. Chris Moore
Chris Moore is a father of two and a husband of one. A native of Edmond, Chris graduated with a BA in English Lit from the University of Oregon in 1993 and a Masters of Divinity from Phillips Theological Seminary in 2008. He was ordained in the United Church of Christ in April of 2009. Chris likes running, writing, playing guitar and cooking...and celebrating his Irish heritage with some potato soup and a Guinness.
Chris is married to Kathy Moore, a speech pathologist who squeezes in some clinical time in between chasing around two boys - Ian, who is 7 and Alec, who is 5. Kathy comes from a soccer-crazed family and still plays indoor leagues despite all the hints her body gives her to stop. She makes a mean strawberry cake and loves the show "Damages".
Ian likes Star Wars, reading, Star Wars, playing with all of his myriad of toys, Star Wars and generally moving around at the speed of a hummingbird after a triple-espresso shot. He'd be just happy as can be eating peanut butter sandwiches for every meal. Ian currently wants to be either an Olympic swimmer, a basketball player or Luke Skywalker when he grows up.
Alec is a bit more contemplative. He loves his big brother as well as Star Wars, Hot Wheels cars, Star Wars, quesadillas and Mommy...especially Mommy. Alec is our stubborn one (takes after his mother) but his little line of freckles across his nose and his happy smile usually counteracts the bull-headed aspects of his personality...usually.

Bob Davis
Bob Davis, Christian Ed Director has been a member of Mayflower since 2003 and the Director of Christian Education since February 2007. A long-time case manager at DHS, he is currently a Training and Development Specialist at Rose State College in the EmPower Program, a TANF Special Training Project. A graduate of Oklahoma Baptist University ('86), Bob has been an ordained minister since 1998. Describing his past roots as a "Jimmy Carter Southern Baptist," he is right at home with theology that is both accepting of diversity and valuing of the life of service.
Bob's philosophy of ministry is that to find yourself, you must lose yourself in the work of Grace and Justice as modeled by Christ. Educating children to be peace-loving, diversity-accepting, simple-living, and value-affirming is his goal at Mayflower. In addition to his work in Christian Ed, Bob performs weddings by request and is available for other speaking engagements.
Born and raised in a small town, Sheridan, Montana, Bob has an appreciation for the hospitality of the Mid-south, but misses the Rocky Mountains during the summer months. His agricultural roots hold him close to issues of sustainability and local foods. His dream home is a summer cabin in Montana!
He is married to Carol Kirts Davis, a science teacher at Carl Albert High School in Midwest City. Together they enjoy a blended family including his three children, Kaela, Nathan, and Jordan; two step- children Brittany and Nawal; and two grandsons Jaedon and Kason.
