Good blog post. More people have to check this out. It's surprising I hadn't come across this sooner.

Seems like there's a good book waiting to be written about successful, progressive Oklahomans who don't get much play at home. Kristen Chenoweth (becoming more progressive) and Megan Mullally come immediately to mind.

Thank you for helping me think thru some of my thoughts on the death of Osama bin Laden. It has bothered me that people are celebrating his death because I don't think we should celebrate any man's death. On the other hand your statement "we may rejoice that no more innocent lives will be ended because of Osama bin Laden, that he does not hold the monopoly on evil." helped me understand my relief(?) that he can no longer harm people (although many of his followers may do so.) It has bothered me for a long time that we seem to have lost much of our integrity and what makes America what I want it to be because we are reacting in fear. We seem to be willing to give up many of our freedoms for "safety" -- which does not really seem to exist.
