The Board of Christian Education shall consist of nine members, whose tenure will be so arranged that three will be elected each year for a three year term. After serving three years, a member of the board shall be ineligible for re-election to this board for one year.

The duty of the Christian Education Board is to meet monthly to promote and provide a program of Christian Education for the youth of the church (infants through senior high). The Board shall recruit and train Sunday School teachers, select appropriate curriculum, sponsor activities which promote Christian education, and help to integrate the youth of the church into the total life of the congregation. A Director of Christian Education and a Youth Director may be employed on the recommendation of the Board of Christian Education, subject to approval by the Board of Trustees. The Director of Christian Education and the Youth Director shall be, ex-officio, members of the Board of Christian Education.

The Board of Christian Education shall prepare an annual budget to present to the Trustees that will be sufficient to meet its yearly expenses.

2011 Music Board

The Music Board shall consist of nine members, whose tenure will be so arranged that three members will be elected each year for a three year term. After serving three years, a member of the board cannot be re-elected to this board for one year.

The duty of the Music Board is to promote and enhance the church's ministry of music. The board shall meet every other month beginning in January to evaluate the music program, make recommendations and provide feedback to the professional staff which will enhance the music program of the church. A Minister of Music and/or Organist may be employed on recommendation of the Music Board, subject to approval by the Board of Trustees.

The Music Board will also plan, publicize, and implement all special music events in the church.

Benevolence Board

The Benevolence Board consists of nine members, whose tenure is arranged so that three new members will be added each year for a three year term. After serving for three years, members are ineligible to serve this board for one year.

The duty of the Benevolence Board is to meet at least six times a year to distribute the funds designated by the membership for benevolence purposes. Funds so earmarked by members on their pledge cards shall be deposited in a designated fund and shall not be used for any other purpose. The Benevolence Board shall allocate twenty percent of all its funds to the work of the United Church of Christ, by giving to the Kansas/Oklahoma Conference. These gifts can be used by the general fund of the conference, or to a special project designated by the board. The remaining eighty percent of funds available for distribution will be given to local charities serving basic human needs, worthwhile mission projects, and occasionally, for one-time assistance to individuals or families in financial crisis. All individual or family assistance shall be made directly to providers of needed services, and not to the individuals themselves.

All distributions of the Benevolence Board should be regularly reported to the congregation, with an annual report presented at the Annual Meeting.
